Ok, Here's another one.

It took us two trips into the area over two years to get this one all scoped out.
Name this ski bowl. Same deal as before...
For everyone that ventures a guess I'll supply beta including a gps track map of (what we believe to be) the best way in there... provided I have the guesser's email addy and, of course, subject to, the "official mandatory suggested stashworthiness protocol". 8)
And as before, you're not eligible to guess if you are a current ski partner that knows where we traveled to last weekend (that especially goes for you, Robie and MADDOG! >:( )
Here's a hint: it's in the State of Washington ;D
To me this looks alot like the bowl just west of pinnacle peak in the tattoosh range.I'm not able to come up w/ a name for this bowl, there is nothing on the maps i have.

I know the one you mean, sag.  Yeah there is some similarities.  I don't know the name of it either but it's the bowl that what we call Pinnacle Chute, Denman Chute and Plummer Chute dump into.
Here's the best shot I could find of what you are talking about:
[Removed extra pic to comply with site policy]

The bowl that you're thinking of is just out of sight on the other side of and below the tree line in this pic.
Here's a shot of a couple of the gang booting up the center chute (the one with the hourglass near the bottom -- we call it Plummer chute):

Nice try Sag, but no cigar.
Try again?
Anybody Else?

Ron: Question unrelated to this "Name That Bowl". When you go into the Paradise Gl. area, how do you access? I'm still planning to go in next w'end, provided there's a reason to.

Thanks...Greg Lange

PS: It's great to be back from Arkansas. The mountains there are all of 600' tall!

so what is the "official mandatory suggested stashworthiness protocol" and my addy is stefan.giles@ comcast.net

Good point, sag.
It's about time I came forth with the goods, huh?
I'll get the info off to you in the next day or so.  I think you'll like it for a fun "secret stash".

Greg - I've accessed the PG 3 different ways.  We're proly going up to there this weekend as well.  I'll include you on a group email... maybe we'll post it on "planned trips" as well; maybe we can turn it into kind of a "community event"  :D.

Charles is back.
Contest terminated.
Didn't seem like we were having that much fun with this one anyhoo.  sag was the only guesser and he got the info.  My work here is done  ;)

Getting together a ski for Sunday (hoping the forecast improves).  Let us know if you'd like to join us and have some company for your Sept. turns.  Details via return email.  Apre' tailgate party weather permitting  8).

I'm in for the ski and tailgate  ;D

I'm up for a ski this Sunday. Off tomorrow for a little trot outta Diablo Dam up Sourdough Trail to Elephant Butte for a good gander at some nice country. Should return by Saturday just as the weather goes South. ??? Will it be the stash for Sept turns?  Or?

Paul

This time it's the "Or"   :D

Yeah, right, I'll email ya, Paul.

If this web page was so enabled, and had a knife, I could cut the sarcasm with it, and everyone could have a slice!  ;D Or? ;)

Hey Paul, no sarcasm in this post, ;D we just know it's not the "stash" this weekend, we are still trying to figure out the biggest "bang for the buck" so to speak   ;)  either way you might wanna bring the sneakers for the hike in.  Maybe we can borrow those PF flyers from Markharf since they are so light and fast.

So, lessee, for the TAY 1st Annual September Paradise Glacier Ski and Tailgate BBQ Party we've got Paul S, Jerry W, MadDog, Strider, TAY Charles and... Is that it?
That's hardly enough to open a new package of hot dogs for the barbie.
Anyone else coming to this sure to be memorable and fun event?

Sorry. Lara Pazemenas, Greg Lange and Dave Metallo are all headed to Paradise Gl. on Saturday. We'll miss the weenie roast, but hopefully not the turns...Greg

Cool, Greg.
So far it looks lik you'll have the better weather, although you never know what it will be like au above Pan until you get there.
If you get a chance how about a short tr for us after you get back??

So for anyone that's interested, the pics and map and invite and times are all up now on Planned Trips at:
http://www.turns-all-year.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=ha3;action=display;num=1062816768
For the September Ski and Tailgate Party.  Come one come all  8).
