inspired by the trs here, headed over with not much in the way of expectations, thinking a couple of turns on suncup hell...and were richly rewarded with about 2300 vert of corn and minimal suncups, NO BUGS, no one else, acres of wildflowers, light breeze, and awsome views. imho, the skiing will be good there for weeks to come. yes, it takes a while to get to the skiing, but the ptarmigan ridge trail is mostly flat...

here's a picture:
ema, thanks for the report. From the recent TRs it looks like Ptarmigan Ridge is a good destination for August turns, and perhaps it will be so for the even more problematic September turns.

Niiice.
Good score, ema.
Thanks for sharing it.

Congrad's.
Your great shot made "The Cover of the Rolling Stone" (so to speak)  :D

ron,
ay, i'm swelling with pride :)

never submitted anything to telemarktips, but figured mitch doesn't get that much new material in august so my chances are pretty good !

It's nice to see PNW skiers get some cover time! Good work Ema!  ;D
