Gavin and I did a dawn patrol at Pineapple Pass yesterday (Saturday), and most definitely earned our turns.
Skinned up HCM trail from Alpental lot, with plenty of creek crossings and thin coverage and shrubbery and tree wells. Snow got deeper above Source Lake, and the snow in the pass basin was sweet. Got a couple laps at the pass, skied back down to the creek in very heavy/wet fresh snow, and skinned out the last 1/2 mile. Good time, and we'll take it this year!

Excellent - thank you for the update. Not sure Source Lake/Pineapple Pass environs will fill in more this spring but this sounds promising.

We saw you guys on the way down while we were skinning up - you got a pretty early start. Skiing at the pass was excellent; skiing out through the trees not so much but still fun.
