April 3, 2008; Slot Couloir

After hearing "goddamit Dave" for the longest time on various outtings to Snoqualmie Mtn. in times past, I finally redeemed myself & skied the Slot with an ultra-marathoner & an ultra-Rainierer.  The 4th party our our group, the ultra ski volcaneer, decided to leave the appropriate boots for touring at home because he really likes to drive.  Entrance looked particularly steep relative to times past.  Center of the couloir was fairly tracked out, but the sidewalls on the upper face held nice deep, untracked pow for the takers on this day.  Unfortunately, Barry's skis looked like he still had skins on as he dropped in, as his bases were packin' about 4 inches of snow as he said "my skis, I can't move".   ???  Anyway, good times with good company.  ;)
