Skinned a few laps to upper International at Alpental, then out to Pineapple Pass. 8-12 inches of new over firm layer in most spots. Sun exposed aspects were soft and heavy, while shaded areas remained light and powdery. Many small naturally occurring wet snow slides were observed throughout the warm afternoon hours on and near sun exposed rocks. Also noticed some isolated slab formation, much like a wind slab layer, on previously settled slide debris. Between laps, I met 3 real nice guys coming down from Pineapple. Didn't ask if they were TAY'ers, but they looked the part. Around 4pm the sun exposed aspects began to refreeze and produce strong top layer, not the breakable crust I was expecting.
