Alpental Ski Area - Upper/Lower International

I made a quick trip up to Alpental after work yesterday to get some exercise.  Hiked up Sessel to the bottom of Lower International, but found the beginning of the traverse to be melted out so I had to do a little more bushwhacking than I wanted to get over to the top of Armstrong.  Should have cut over earlier at the top of Sessel chair and climbed Eisfallen to the traverse which was still holding good snow.  Once to the bottom of Chair 2, it is snow covered all the way to the top via Edelweiss Bowl.  I kept the skis on my back because I was lazy (but didn't have to dry out skins when I got home!).  Someone did make a nice boot pack which was nice for the last climb to the top.  Upper International looked great from the top and there was still a section of snow for an entrance (won't last long), so I was able get on without any carrying.  Great snow all the way down Upper International and Adrenalin.  I did have to make a short carry between Upper and Lower which I kind of expected from the views on the hike up.  Snow was getting heavy on Lower, but still fun as long as you avoid the chunky avy debris.  Finished the ski right around the Traverse and then hiked the same path out.  Quick and fun outing, better than I expected!
