BC skiing in Colorado is interesting... lots of huts here at a very reasonable price per night. Only issue here is real-deal avy concerns so best to stay on gentle slopes at times.
The Fowler-Hilliard hut is named after two friends who were devoted to skiing and climbing in Colorado. Just re-opened, this is a gem of a place is situated at 11,500 feet a few miles south of Vail Pass. We arrived after a 2 day storm and were the only two occupants (sleeps appx 20). Skinning and skiing laps at 11+K feet is a challenge to the flat-lander. Colorado has nice powder!

Looks like a beautiful hut to spend a couple of powder days.
