- still no real spring weather here. the conditions, are spring-like. at the lower elevations I found 6" of slush from recent storm snow. Mammoth resort had about 1 ft of 'pastey' type surface. surprisingly, the 6" I skied was real nice, as it had a hard base. the next day, was not as good , however. until we get our big warm-up, the snow will probably stay hit-and-miss, as it stays unconsolidated. *
