I Had a pleasant breakfast with Mad Dog ,Ron and MD 2020 at thier reserved table at Tall Timbers in Eatonville. Then dropped in on Vogtski for the tour dejour. We basically chased our tails in the morning breaking the best crust we could find in the Mazama back bowl north aspects. Tiring quickly of that we moved north up the lower Paradise to the "Sphinx". Took a meager lunch while we watched a party descend the Paradise and ski directly to our spot thereby proving we had made a good choice  ;)
After being reaffirmed in our choice plus us and the crust  being warmed by the afternoon sun we had a  good and quick return ski to Paradise.
The real truth is that those 3 who skied down the Paradise had a very good day and perhaps my breakfast partners who chose to ski the  tatoosh did even better.
Robie, I was amazed how well your wax (VR70?) worked on that springlike snow coming up the Valley Rd.  I wouldn't have wanted to try it with my old-fashioned purple...powder's coming back, don't forget to clean it off...

Enjoyed seeing you at the TT and catching up on your ski adventures.  We did have a great time on the Tatoosh, thought about you and Gary over on the "other" side and wondered how things were over there.  We actually had the whole mountain to ourselves.  Rich and Kenji and company were also on the Tatoosh, but we somehow managed to do the RJ shuffle at the parking lot and were able to sneak back into parts unknown  ;).

For what it's worth  the wax did work good but now that I have to clean it off I'm kinda wishing I woulda used my skinny skins. I should have turned around and wentback down a bit just to see how the stuff breaks into a glide. I would like to try it on a multiple day tour.
