11/2/2019, Summer Like Day on Muir

WA Cascades SW (Mt Rainier)

Best conditions were from 9200 to 7200 feet. I opted to hike from Pebble Creek back to the lot as there seemed to be a number ski carries with the probability of hitting large rocks hidden under the melting snow. The Nisqually needs a lot more snow before it is doable. I suppose one could ski or ride it if they were up for some serious down scrambling/climbing in sections. NO THANKS!

Thanks for posting...aways nice to see.😉

Saw you speeding down on Saturday. Beautiful day up there and I was able to wear shorts/T shirt on the ascent. Quality corn on the field. We skied below pan point with several transitions

I'd like to watch a video of the faces on a group of climbers as you zoom past :)

thanks for the video. Always fun to watch!

It would be interesting to have someone read every trip report ever posted of Muir and create a pie chart showing those who said "it was good from 9200 to 7200" and those who said "it was good top to bottom." My guess is the 80/20 rule would apply.  ;D
