Passed up good snow for a little adventure. Leyland agreed to join me for a quick skin to the headwaters of mountaineers creek. Travel on the road was fast and easy, but no one had been past the trail head in some time.
It wasn't our original destination, but with some recent avi activity, it was a nice back up. poor argonaut, always second fiddle. Stellar location made up for the less the blower snow conditons eleswhere.
Still a VERY good day. Thanks to Leyland for joining me.
The obligatory bridge shot shows that the snow is just about at the top rail.

Leyland doing some Stuart range dreaming.

I like the looks of that couloir, that needs a double thumbs up emoticon. Good to see you are getting after it John Scott. Lets get out soon!

Thank you for your contribution, I love that area.
Anytime Lisa and Kyle! Though I'll most likely be out of town the next couple of weekends.
Pretty sure Dan Helmstadter skied both them coolies one day last march.
Nice shots Leyland.

Agreed. How am I supposed to feel the stoke without pictures of this remote, seldom-visited and almost never photographed lake??
sorry. next time I'll make the extra climb up to the lake. Not just to get a picture to make you guys happy, but because it's such a fun ride back down.
I kind of enjoyed not having to do that bit.
