Great day in the hills! Beautiful views, blue sky, chilly temperature, good snow.
Good snow and windjacked snow available on all aspects. A serendipitous meeting with Chris and Mary atop a summit led to some mighty fine shaded turns we'd overlooked. Thanks again!
Surface hoar all over the place, mostly ~1/2", but some larger. Sun may have lightly toasted some of the S-facing flakes. We pulled out one soft slabby sluff (3-6" crown, 10-15' wide, 40' run) on a N aspect windloaded atop a thin crust. Main snow story was variability, but lots of good snow to be had; ~12"+ fluffy settled powder over a fairly solid base.
Thanks, Alex!

Hey Alex (Charlie?), was good to hook up with you guys. Can't believe you all made another lap (I suppose ten years ago I would have too). Let me know if you need a partner in the future. - Chris
