Time to reward those that are loyal to all things snowy ...
For those of you unfamiliar with The Northwest Snow and Avalanche Workshop (NSAW), it is an all-day seminar with speaker's from all over North America all speaking to a common theme. It is a great way to start your snow season with an emphasis on safety, while having one heckuva great time!

This year the theme is, " Accidents, Surprises, and Near Misses".

Talks are no longer than 35 minutes, the breaks are long, and their are a TON of venders offering Pro Deals for participants (BCA, K2 Sports, Brooks Range, Mammut, etc.). At the end of the day there is an after party on premise with FREE BEER (New Belgium), Smoked Salmon, Pizza, and a few other munchables.

The great part is that you don't have to sacrifice too much sleep to attend. NSAW starts at 9:00am the morning AFTER the switch to Daylight Savings. Yup, an extra hour of sleep to bank for your drive. Parking is FREE on the UW campus for NSAW, and children under 16 are FREE as well.

You will have to look on the UW site and do the legwork Ron. I have no idea unless I look at the map, and I am knee deep in assholes and alligators about now trying to get NSAW live.....

Replied by Charlie Hagedorn on topic Re: ONLY A FEW HOURS LEFT FOR NSAW DISCOUNT TICKETS !
This advice from 2012 2013 should still apply. Campus parking is generally free on Sundays; check signs to be sure (a few lots aren't free).

Edit: I'd linked to the wrong year. NSAW is now in the Husky Union Building (HUB). The Padelford garage is the closest.

I recommend trying the underground lot which is accessed from the corner of 15th Ave NE and (I think) NE 41st Street on the west side of campus. That'll be my first choice. It's dry and close and I think it should be free on Sundays (but I haven't been there for a while).
