Hummm...
Interesting thought. Very pregnant ideas, Michael and MadDog. :
Let me give my bucolic brain a chance to assimilate and ponder over the matter a bit. Of course, for the divulgence of anything lesser known than the Muir Snowfield would require the sanction of my compatriots.
As I'm writing this it is occurring to me that there is some huge resources on this board. What me and my ski partners know pales in comparison to what some of the other, posters and lurkers of this board know of sweet mountain lines. Why some of you may not know this, by the Man, himself, Burgdorfer, is a member of this board. And then there's Lowell Skoog, Gary Brill, Art Scott and many more local legends that I'm not even smart enough to remember... Then you have all the Gen X heroes like Sky, the Hummels and all the rest of that gang that are doing new lines that many of us "mere mortals" wouldn't even consider while "under the influence"... And then you have all the rest of us that are somewhere in between.
Not to mention, we have Michael and other MS techno gurus, and lots of other savvy techno minds in both computers and mapping technologies.
Bottom line is we have hundreds of folks that have valuable info and/or talent that could be a resource to us.
With many of us contributing just a few minutes a month and/or giving up a favorite line or two for our sisters and brothers of the First Church of the Steel Edged Sliders, we could all benefit from some kind of really cool add on resource for this board. That new resource could make TAY even more valuable to us all, and possibly trigger greater generosity to improve the economic side a bit for Charles.
Turning this board into profitable (or at least break even) venture for Charles could help mitigate the possibility of him tiring of this "hobby" and moving on to better things in his life; which, BTW, would be a tremendous loss to us all. It would also be a hell of a lot of time and work for someone else to duplicate the resource; which, also, BTW, would likely be for dubious remuneration.
So who else besides Michael, MadDog and myself would be willing to kick in a few minutes a month and/or give up a "Sweet Line" so we could develop a new and exciting resource on this board for us all?
And what ideas do you have as far as suggested features, benefits and the implementation of this possible new TAY resource?

I would happily spend some time documenting a favorite trip or two in a community map. I agree it could be a pretty nice resource. This board and various personal websites are great, but if you had a single site which had some of the best parts of both it would be that much better. Photos, descriptions, personal remarks, relevant data and aerial photos all in one place sounds good to me.
