Happy Thanksgiving
I'm personally so happy to say it's that time of year again, we have about a foot of snow in the base area and more than a couple up top.  We had some shredders 2 weeks ago on about an inch so if you want to be first you are way too late.  I do think it's still too thin for real fun but we will leave Alpental available for use through Sunday Nov 27th.  After that (Monday 11_28_16) we will put the signs out, and our winter uphill rules will apply - meaning the area has to actually be open for public and contact must be made with patrol prior to go uphill at Alp.  The other bases; West, Central and East are already getting some laps made and will continue to be available through their normal guidelines. For a more comprehensive explanation please visit the summit website  www.summitatsnoqualmie.com/mountains/saf...uphill-travel-policy
Thanks / Gib

Noticed these details in the Alpental Valley-specific uphill travel rules:

Parking lots at the ski area are either leased or privately owned for use by guests of The Summit & Alpental. Please do not use ski area parking lots on weekends or holidays. This is especially so at Alpental. If you are not a patron of the ski area, park in the "Lower Lot" as seen on the trail map. The lower lot is located just below the Alpental foot bridge and the first parking lot on the left as you travel up Alpental road. Consider carpooling whenever possible and be sensitive and respectful to ski area guests, the ski area and their parking policies & signs.

So does that mean if I'm a passholder I'm free to park in any lot when touring uphill? I'm technically a patron until operations cease in the spring...

It would be really interesting if they started enforcing the "no parking in lot 4 for dog walking" policy. It would certainly make the ski back from source lake safer. It would be nice to know if they are serious about it and whether season pass holders are allowed to park or not.

Suggestion - it may be helpful to change the reference from "Lower Lot" to "Main Lot" on the policy. There is no lot labeled "Lower" on the trail map and might be confusing to some.

I guess it is confusing because he doesn't mean "Main Lot" They want you to stay out of the "Main Lot" as well. There is a lot before the "Main Lot" on the alpental road, just after the bridge, across from the condo entrance.
