El Nino News Keeps Getting Worse

"We really have yet to see such a strong forecasted El Niño paired with such a strong PDO. The PDO could promote a ridge of high pressure over the West, especially the Northwest, for extended periods of time during the winter," stated Noll.

We've had a glorious moist spring/summer in northern New Mexico.  I will be hoping that it translates to an epic winter in the southern Rockies.  Hopefully it's not too bleak for the WaWa crowd.

El nino is potentially good news for your zone sky. The problem is this persistent warm water in the north eastern pacific ocean. Huge wild card and not so good so far for the pnw. El nino in the past has been good for Mission Ridge (my home mountain) but this northern warm water is the shits. (The shits not being a good thing).

Mission Ridge and White Pass were by far the best 2 resorts last season and maybe again this year? We just have to wait and see.

and in case it doesn't snow at all..    skiing..
