Not snow related, but definitely good turns!

So I had expressed interest in maybe getting a longboard to goof around on, and my sisters-in-law pulled the trigger for my birthday.
I've never been a skater, but did snowboard in a previous life.  I am totally impressed with how this thing (a $70 board from Sports Authority) cruises and carves.  If you've seen the kids bombing around town on these things, and wondered if they were any fun, well, they are!
BTW, I'm counting these turns.  Disapprove if you must.  I don't care.

Using the pole is cheating! Looks like fun though......I see a snowboard in your future when you give up that silly telemarking!

That looks pretty fun. Scotsman might have a point about the pole though I have never used one myself. It looks cool to me but I didn't see you braking with it. Foot braking and pushing work very well. Looks like you have some good hills in your area.

Tele turns are as close as you can get to snowboarding on two planks.

Longboarding is a lot of fun, but only in the right conditions (dry, smooth pavement). I used mine all the time in college to get to/from and around campus. Now I live in a neighborhood where the streets are too steep and bumpy, so mine lives in my office at work and gets me to meetings and lunches. It's always fun to see the looks from the business side of the company when an engineer rolls in... literally.

You gotta bend the knees and get low....ditch the pole.... with pole makes it look like SUPing on land( NO Yoga on a longboard video... PLEASE!)
