Does this count as skiing?

I'm wondering if there is a set of unspoken rules/guidelines on what counts as skiing. Had some fun with some new friends in Halfway, OR yesterday. Running starts inspired skiing starts which inspired a blend of floating and modified "water" skiing. Fortunately the driver was very talented!

Awesome! Halfway has some great folks there, and an EXCELLENT bakery was started a little over a year ago. There are some great turns on Cornucopia just up the road too.

Hey, Nick, were you hooked up in Halfway for a hut trip? 

Halfway is a cool place, even if only conceptually.  Granola types to both old time and nouveau ranchers in a pretty small place.  Yet, it's  only halfway to nowhere, really.  It's perfect in that sense.  Dirtbags should hook-up while they still can.  Someday this place will be discovered.  It's the meetup place for Wallowa Hut's Norway/Schneider hut tow-in skiing (pic of Norway below - form Wallowa Huts webpage),  that starts just a bit out of town.  It's definitely the scenic route ~ but not shortcut ~ if you're headed to Cambridge, Idaho and the locales of Brundage and Tamarack.  I would believe a great bakery here ~ not sure about the crab, though..  The skiing here does not suck.
