Stevens Canyon Rd Open Still?

Anyone know? I don't trust the NPS website to be updated...

It was barricaded and the 'No Parking' sign was up when I drove by this afternoon.  Looked like it had been plowed this week and had only a few inches of snow on the pavement.  There was perhaps a foot under the trees near Narada, not really enough for skiing in my opinion.

Closed for the season, and has been for some time (since Labor Day I think, for construction).

ok then. So my only option if coming over White Pass is to drive to Morton then north on 7 to Longmire in order to get to Paradise, eh?

Those assholes closed it since at least October--for the entire fall/winter season. Instead of coming down 18 and through Enumclaw, we got the pleasure of tainting our trip with an approach and descent from I-5 and the west side of the park--once was enough this season.

I'm happy to ride a dead horse here-the east side of the park, and those that live towards that side, get no love.

Sorry to hear about your additional commute, I'd say 'I hope it's worth it' but it still usually is.

I think I'll go to Smith instead...
