What these guys did is very impressive to this old geezer, and I love the weather karma that Dav seems to posess, it sure gave us all some great days in the North Cascades while he and Jess were volcaning.  :-)   It is also impressive that en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Davenport and www.jessmcmillan.com/ took the time for daily updates to their blogs, despite the cost to their much needed rest, and pretty cool that they accomplished it without super detailed planning, primarily relying on www.skimountaineer.com/CascadeSki/CascadeSki.html

Of course many of us are jealous of their ability to make a living skiing and be chaufeured around in a Land Yacht, but it was cool to meet them in person and tour the Yacht last night at Sturdevants with free food, drink, conviviality, and celebration.

I don't like them because Kastle skis are too expensive for me to buy and the one I would really like to be able to ski, the FX94, is too heavy for me to skin any distance uphill with.

How about we get AARP, Metamucil, Depend, Kastle, and Dynafit to sponsor us on a Ring of Fire tour where they provide the chauffeur, masseusses, blogger, special diet, and senior sitters to allow us to skin up in superlight Dynafit gear, then switch to their heavy, powerful Kastle gear for the descent?

Hey!  That sounds good! Get it done! ;D

p.s.: And if we couldn't get sponsorship from Ibuprofen or Alleve, I'd go ahead and use my social security income to stock up before the trip.

Come on guys, marketability! Ring of fire.....maybe preperation H would be interested in getting on board with you?

Congrats to Chris and Jess for completing their quest. I'm definatly jealous of their rig. And since it is the style they where going for, I'm giving them extra cool points for the sled and snow cat assists. Minus points for no boat or animal assist.

pretty cool that they sought out our terrain.

what do you think the best one was?

Cooper spur was probably the steepest (although i dont get their elevation and mileage totals)

but i think the sisters traverse is the most worthy.

its kinda funny they did bachelor...
