La Sportiva Hi5 - Rider reviews, sizing was created by Edgesport
I found this ski by clicking the Hi5 ad on NWAC website and have been intrigued with them ever since. I found a lot of discussion on a Wildsnow review and the threads would imply it is a one quiver mountaineering ski but if anyone from this community has any opinions or experience with them I would appreciate your feed back. A big question is what size... (178/188) I am 6'2" and 190lbs full time year round BC'er riding in the Southern cascades who prefers many turns rather than GS descents. I would pair them up with TLT Dynafit Vertical ST bindings.

I demoed this ski at alpy this year. Seems like a really good lightweight all 'rounder. I'd say you're definitely the larger size.

That's awesome! Definitely hit me back and let me know what you think of them! What sizing and mounting recommendations did you get?

Sizing = 178. me = 6'1", 160lb. I skied the 188 at Vertfest; it felt a bit long.....but I usually ski around a 176. If I was in the Wasatch I'd have gone for the 188 but I usually end up in tight trees and even tighter steep chutes so I place maneuverability very high on my priority list.
Mounting went with manufac. rec. Glad I caught the Wildsnow article about it being the arrow and not the line!
FWIW, this is a very difficult ski to mount yourself. I mounted my Dyna speeds last night myself because I wanted to have a custom mount that served both me and my wife's BSL. Turned out between the inherent alignment issues of the dyna, Wildsnow's subpar paper jig (they could do better) and most importantly the curviness of the ski I had a tough time lining up everything straight because nothing on the ski is straight. So take it to a shop with a real jig

subpar? means below average; compared to what other paper jig on line? Just sayin'.
