Dogs in the BC? was created by BrianT
I know a lot of parks won't let dogs there, but when you can, how do you think a a basset hound would fare in snow while skiing? I'm a bit concerened of the short legs they have.
Anyone ever took one out to a TC Ski trip?

Tie his ears up so he doesn't get frost bit ears..... Basset hound....mmmmh not sure.
I was out touring this weekend with my Siberian and a friends Golden Retriever. Retriever got all snow balled and chaffed his legs and we had to turn around as a result ( but still had fun).
Lot of people tour Crystal area ( Bullion Basin, etc) with dogs.
Probably be alright once snow consolidates.

I remember being at the beach when I was around four or five years old. The was a very odd track in the sand. Paw prints, but it looked like it was dragging something. It was a basset hound, and he was dragging something......
Make sure it's not just the ears you tie up.

LoL
Wait till about 25 seconds, it's priceless to see what looks to be a dog doing a butterfly swim technique in snow.
