Down right crazy! Today's youth are pushing it to another level to say the least. Let's just hope it doesn't cost them their lives. It may be a long video but one that is well worth watching. The snowboarding of the vertical ice near the end is absolutely unbelievable!!

I've watched this one a couple of times now and the beginning is terrifying. Sporty, to say the least.

For what it's worth Crystal Mountain's own Forrest Burki beat Xavier down the King at last year's North Face Master's.

;D

Here is a photo showing the steepness of the Monch (the side climbers right of Holly). As I remember looking down, skiing it didn’t even register as an option. Impressive.

Also, the previous year at Crystal was topped by Stevens Pass local Tim Carlson..... there is a short clip of it on comcast on demand for free right now if you have it. I think it has more to do with being in tune with Cascade snow and having the confidence to look fluid in them conditions. Home court advantage.

Xavier is really on a differant level though. And obviously very comfortable in his home court. High alpine and steep. I have yet to watch the movie though Lisa, so thanks for the link.
