Dec. 10 Sierra's La nina rpt. was created by all mtn
- most of the ski areas down here are opening up, with man-made conditions & limited runs. the low pressures coming down the east side of the range have offered cold temps allowing areas to blow snow around the clock for a few days at a time, and then at night. the Tahoe resort I ski actually reported they have made the most snow this season due to upgraded equipment (they even opened a wk early).
upper ridgelines are basically scoured due to a low that had 165 mph north winds a couple wks ago.

I've been tracking Bryan Allegretto's website for awhile and remember when a storm cycle hits Tahoe things can change dramatically.  ;)

We'll be heading down later this season.

Hi All Mt Sounds harsh. I can't take it any more as a old Cali. boy and Sierra skier now residing in the PNW I have got to inform you that you are using an incorrect word Sierra's. The Spanish word Sierra Nevada, or Sierra is already plural. The correct usage would be, the conditions here in the Sierra are bare due to wind. Hope this helps you blend in  ;D. Zap you know better than that where is your Spanish grammar etiquette  ::)
