Stability this weekend? was created by Splitter
Thinking of heading up I-90 Sunday. Last weekend I was closer to the action than I prefer. I haven't seen anything from NWAC yet but judging by the temps (70 Sat and 73 Sun at pass level), plus some new snow higher up over the bottomless muck, I am wondering if we are in for another round of wet slides.

Anybody else having second thoughts about steeps above 5K feet this weekend?

Listen to the voice in your head and wait until the cornices are gone and the snow has morphed. That's a lot of heat.

As I said in my previous post, I believe that wet slides are likely;however, for me I may go up part of mount snowqualmie and ski down. But not in any dangerous parts. It's real hard to pass up the nice weather. your call man, just be smart about it.

oh and eastman hit the nail right on the head. That is a lot of heat and going above 5k is pretty risky. Depending on where your hiking at.

Kenny at NWAC posted his thoughts .

Looking forward to watching snow move from safe places this weekend.
