Jackson Hole Beta was created by lovingtele
I am headed to Jackson Hole for the first time next week on a last minute ski trip. We are doing a combo of backcountry and resort and plan to ski up around Teton Pass and in Teton National Park.

Does anyone have must-do ski tours, or great leads on places to stay. Thanks so much!

teton pass can be so skied out it has bumps

togathee pass has almost no skiers and some real fun terrian but along the road it has a lot of snomobliers.

a must ski is cody peak in the jackson bc be careful there are a lot of surprise cliffs.

the jackson ski area gets skied out very very fast on a powder day

the grand targhee bc is really fun and almost no ski tracks. I have skied grand targhee all day without crossing anyone elses tracks on a weekend

In the Park, 25 Short, Maverick, 10,996, 10,552 are great skis for turns. They all have a variety of different descents. For scenery, ski into Garnet Canyon. Check out tetonat.com for lots of good info. Teton Mountaineering will have some good ski info, too. Bridger-Teton NF has a great avalanche site, as well as MountainWeather.

You probably have seen it or have it, but if you haven't, Tom Turiano's "Jackson Hole Ski Atlas" is a terrific resource. Pushing out farther both north of Glory and south of the highway from the Pass never disappoints (see Little Tuckermans as an example). The Cody stuff is quick and great from the resort (4 Shadows and No Shadows couloirs), and if its open and fresh, The Hobacks are great. Mary's Nipple etc. out from Grand Targhee is quite worthy. Togwotee is a little hard to make the tour to turns ratio worth it unless you have a mountain sled. An ambitious objective in the Park in winter is Albright Peak. I'll always miss it - have a great time.

The visitor guide has a backcountry ski section on Teton Pass. I think they were in the grocery store. Most of the pass skiing seemed pretty mellow. The ski resort has some great sidecountry, but a lot of it turns into bump runs, if it doesn't snow.
