All the posts of this topic have been deleted due violation of the TAY Terms of Use and the General posting guidelines. In retrospect it should have been deleted based on the topic content alone but the topic of skinning in operating ski areas could have been useful and educational for newer folks unfamiliar with that topic had the general posting guidelines been followed, i.e. “Be civil and respectful, avoid personal attacks - that is the norm here; Alternate viewpoints are welcome: debate the viewpoint, not the person”.
All of the posters were not in violation in this instance; just the general theme and many of the posts. But attempting to salvage the positive and/or educational aspects of the topic would have been hard to do.
Please be advised we want this to be a safe and fun place to come and communicate with fellow skiers without fear of personal attack or bullying. We intend to watch more carefully for the types of comments that seek to demonstrate one’s cleverness and humor at the expense of others. Habitual violators of this policy will be banned from this site.

To those that complained about the incivilities of many of the deleted posts, our apologies... we had hope the thread would turn in a more positive direction.

All the posts of this topic have been deleted due violation of the TAY Terms of Use and the General TAY sensitivity. In retrospect it should have been allowed based on the topic content alone because the topic of skinning in operating ski areas is useful and educational for newer folks unfamiliar with that topic and the general posting guidelines had been followed, i.e. “Be civil and respectful, avoid personal attacks - that is the norm here; Alternate viewpoints are unwelcome: debate the viewpoint, not the person”.
All of the posters were not in violation in this instance; just the general theme and one or two of the interesting posts. But attempting to salvage the positive and/or educational aspects of the topic would have been harder to do than blanket censorship.
Please be advised we want this to be a safe and unoffensive place to come and communicate with fellow skiers in a sterile and quintessentially bland way. We intend to watch more carefully for the types of comments that seek to demonstrate one’s cleverness and humor for the entertainment of others. Habitual violators of this policy will be banned and leave this site boring and uninteresting.
Fixed it for you.
If you are going to attribute the comment to Scotsman, it should be more irreverent and interesting.
