The LA Times had an article this week about human activity causing more rapid snowmelt by putting dark dust on the snowpack, resulting in less water for irrigation and city water supplies. When we ski in summer and scrape off that dirty snow exposing fresh white, it must have a counteracting effect.
How many turns does it take to equal an ATV mile? Or a coal plant hour?

I have a better idea. Let's just stop having so many children. 6+ billion "miracles" are enough. Just my opinion, but it would cut down on human activity at the root. Disclaimer, having children is a GOD given right.

mmmmmh but you expended hydrocarbons to get to the ski hill, and the nasty petrochemicals that were used to form your ski boots, ski and polypropolene underwear and to injection mold the keyboard you posted this riveting idea on while said computer was linked to the power grid fueled by nast coal mines while you placate your guilt by recycling your starbucks cup in a futile attempt to reverse the ecological damage brought on by the ever increasing demands of the expanding human race and the development of third world countries who want the same standard of living that Americans have boasted about for the last fifty years,..... I'd say at least 10 turns on AT gear....only 5 if you are on telemark skis.. and only 2 if you use big fat skis like me.
