Skiing In Australia

Gosh we need to liven this place up...

Isn't there something controversial we can discuss or has the board been moderated to death?

I spent a lot of the summer in California ( Bay Area ). They have small mountains above Mountain View, which are covered in redwoods and eucaplyptus. The terrain isn't amazing ( for skiing ) but I've often wondered what it would be like to tour among in the area. ( I settle for mountain biking instead. ) Anyway, here is a neat video of backcountry skiing in Australia ... among the eucaplyptus and other tropical flora. I think this is what backcountry skiing in the Bay Area - were it ever possible - would be like.

When I lived in Los Altos Hills, I hiked up around Black Mountain in the snow around '92-'93, there were several people XCDing there and around Long Ridge OSP off Skyline it was very beautiful.
