Man, my wife's going to be pissed if this kills the entire garden, which seems to think it's spring. Then again, she'll finally get some powder, so it'll be a mixed blessing.

I recall a couple of warm winters in Washington; it'll act like winter for a while before the end of April. I'm ready to bet on it. The best part is when it turns into an epic spring, with a fat alpine snowpack, with better-than-average trailhead access because of lacking low-elevation snow.

I'm with Sky on this one.

I have been preaching that March is going to be the big month and even into April.
This may be just mountain man crap, During the prime colder months Dec, Jan, part of Feb it seems that if the temps are in the mid 40's in Seattle and raining that we get pretty good snow in the mountains. When temps get into the 50's we get, well rain or snow/mix in the mountains, unless it is protected by a cold easterly flow then it's a crapshoot as to what happens. But for some reason I've noticed that, when March rolls around and city temps push into the 50's with rain and the easterly cold has diminished that the mountains get a greater amount of snow not rain then they would in the deep winter months. So it could be 52-55 in Seattle and raining and still getting orographic snow at 4400 ft at Crystal. Thunder cloud action, really increases rapid snow development in the spring also.
So my prediction is March and April good snows with little Spring skiing. ;D
And I'll go as far to estimate a cooler, wetter and cloudier Summer. >:(
We'll see if I can apply for a Farmers Almanac job.
