face mask suggestions was created by Andrew Gorohoff
On Sunday I made the mistake of putting myself on the Rainier thinking I would get in a tour. Our group thought we would go to Muir, then with the weather report downgraded that to Pan Point, then ultimately turned around after being out for maybe an hour when the conditions were a bit too windy to stand in. The one thing I was really lacking (other than common sense) was a good face mask. My balaclava quickly turned into an ice mask that fogged and iced up my goggles. Not that I intend to put myself in those conditions again anytime soon, but I’m wondering what people suggest for good face masks. There seems to be a lot on the market these days.

This works well and has the added benefit of starting interesting conversations.

But seriously, go neoprene, anything else just freezes.

I like that first mask, but is it helmet compatible? And I'm not sure that it would fit under my goggles.
At $20 I suppose nothing beats the classic neoprene mask, but does anyone know anything about these face masks?

Get one that you can read the weather forecast through?

No way. People would be expecting you to say " Luke, I am your father" or " Come to the darkside"I like that first mask, but is it helmet compatible? And I'm not sure that it would fit under my goggles.
