January 2010 destinations

I am in the planning stages of a week long trip the third week of January 2010. Suggestions?
I would prefer to stay within a day's driving distance of Tacoma, a place for base camp, cheap and of course, plenty of B/C terrain.
Friends and I already have some ideas in mind, but would like some additional input to explore our options...

You should think about white pass and the hogback cordillera. You can park and leave your car in the camper lot and camp and ski in the bc. Everything is so close for touring that even if you are camping you can ski out go to the gas station/store and buy beers to take back out. Also this will be the last year before the lift expansion back there is complete and the last chance to savor the goods while it is still relatively uncrowded and unheard of. The best skiing is steep bowls and faces with 1500 ft. descents. If you go that way and need someone to show you around hit me up next winter and I'll give you the tour.

Rent a snowmobile and hit H20 when it's closed...

Rogers Pass is within a days driving distance, although significantly longer than the other suggested spots. great places for base camps and endless terrain.
