The auction is closed. Congratulations to I-lean!
Trab Duo FreeRando Light skis
Up for auction: one pair of Ski Trab Duo FreeRando Light skis
As part of the sponsorship program here on the Trip Reports, Turns All Year has one pair of Trab Duo FreeRando Light skis to auction, courtesy of Wasatch Ski Distribution . Auction proceeds go to Turns All Year to help pay site expenses.
A companion thread is available for discussion and comments about this ski, and Trab skis in general.
This auction will be carried out as a modified eBay-style auction: open bidding for 7 days, with an automatic extension of the auction close time if a bid is made in the last 15 minutes before the original close time. If the automatic extension is activated, it will continue to be in effect until 15 minutes have elapsed past the last valid bid, at which time the auction will end (see below for details). This automatic extension is being used to reduce the effects of "sniping" and make this auction more like a live auction, where bidding ends because there is no one left who wants to raise their bid, not because of a fixed cutoff time.
Payment can be made by PayPal or personal check. The skis will ship directly to the auction winner from Wasatch Ski Distribution in Utah, with expected shipping availability in the first week of December, 2008. Shipping will be by FedEx ground; the delivery date cannot be guaranteed. The skis can be shipped only to addresses in the United States and Canada.

- Contract: by placing a bid as described below you are indicating your agreement that your bid is a binding contract to purchase the skis if you end up being the highest bidder (just like on eBay).
- Bids are final and not editable: this thread has been set up so that you can neither edit nor delete your post after it has been made; therefore, once you post a bid it cannot be changed, so please make sure you understand all of the auction rules before bidding.
- Currency: all prices are in US dollars.
- Payment types: auction winner can pay using either PayPal or personal check (the latter could delay ski shipment due to check clearing time).

- Sales tax: none.
- Shipping destinations: shipment is available only to addresses in the United States and Canada, no exceptions; if your shipping address is elsewhere, do not bid.
- Shipping charges: shipping is free to the lower 48 (contiguous) United States; for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada, there is a shipping charge of $20 to cover the additional expense.
- Importation costs: if the auction winner requests shipment to a Canadian address, the auction winner is responsible for the payment of all duties, fees, taxes, etc., associated with the importation of the skis into Canada from the US.
Auction details: 7 day standard bidding period:

Automatic extension of auction close:
- If a bid is posted on Thursday, November 20, from 09:45:01 AM to 10:00:00 AM (inclusive; PST) the latest valid bid time is automatically extended by exactly 15 minutes (00:15:00) past the time of that bid.
- Any subsequent bid automatically extends the latest valid bid time by exactly 15 minutes (00:15:00) past the time of that bid.
- If automatic extension has occurred, the auction is closed when there are no new bids posted by the current latest valid bid time.
- If automatic extension has occurred, bidders are responsible for determining the current latest valid bid time; the forum administrator will not necessarily provide timely information on current latest valid bid times.
- As above, bids which occur after the auction has closed are invalid and will not be honored.
- As above, the time of your bid during automatic extension is the time publicly shown on your post.
- As above, the minimum bid increment during automatic extension is $10
