Diesel spill at Crystal was created by Oface
It looks like a utility pump failed and 18,000 gallons of diesel was spilled at crystal:

And of course the rain (and now snow) has only made cleanup more difficult.

Thanks for the update. I've been curious about it each time I've driven by since the spill happened. I wonder how the folks with cabins who get their tap water from Silver Creek feel about it... ???

A bio-diesel spill would have been non-toxic.

I understand there are additives under development you can add to the fuel to keep it in liquid form in cold temps.
Just another reason for ski resorts to go green.

Wasn't this a Puget Sound Energy Spill, and not a Crystal Mt Resort spill? Had it been on Boyne's dime, I'd think they would have to shut down due to costs and liabilities?
