I would suspect it happens frequently, but am impressed to see 121 MPH gusts at Camp Muir
Suspect that might be a bit loud sitting it out in the shelter there...............

Ya, I think this weather is depressing everyone... How far north would we have to go to get snow?

Got an airplane? Old snow, or fresh snow? I was talking on the global warming thread about 30" of rain in ten days at Baker the end of October, 2003. Well, we may be building up for a big one....Baker has had 18" of rain beginning November 3, including 5.6" so far in the past 24 hours, and rainfall rates in the .4+"/hour several hours. This is forecast to be a record flood on many rivers, with a 50-100 year flood (the first one since 2003, or was it 1995? Welcome to global warming. It ain't linear folks. A one degree rise in SST can do som pretty strange things to the old weather.

Wonder about those mountain roads and bridges. At least the sun should be out Wednesday/Thursday.

And to think folks wanted to build a ski lift up there way back when ...  ;)

9.4 inches of rain in 24 hours at Paradise with 19 and counting straight hours of 1/3 inch per hour or more precip rates. Those are respectable snowfall numbers.

Isn't Crystal what was ultimately built in lieu of the proposed lift from Paradise to Pan Point (or higher)

I suppose if the Mountaineer's hadn't organized to block the development proposals back in the '50's -- the Muir snow field and the Palmer snow field on Mt Hood would have a lot more in common.   >:(
