Seems to me, so far, that there has been a surprising lack of bugs in the mountains. Is this just me, or are others finding the same. Hopefully.....

We had hosts of them helping us eat our barbecue and drink our beer at Adams a couple weeks ago.

I killed two mosquitos in my bathroom this morning -- I'm happy to capture and mail them to you, if you like :)

I was noticing that too. Last weekend on the way up to Flett and Russell glaciers the bugs were very much tolerable. I nearly fell asleep during a break in a shady spot in Spray Park. A weak swat of the air now and then was enough to keep the mosquitos at bay. What a difference from the weekend before in the Southern Ore Cascades around Mt Thielsen. Ranks up there with the worst I've ever seen.

I was just up at my cabin today and there are plenty of bugs flying around. Also, the other day I was riding my motorcycle at dusk and the bugs were pelting me bigtime in the face. I don't think there is any shortage of bugs.

The bugs in the Wenatchee Valley are real bad this year. Some friends at Lake Wenatchee say they can barely step outside in the evening.
