That glide crack appears every year, as far as I know, in that same location.

I do not know about a hot spring. I believe it is a heather slope. I know folks who have skied WR but do not know anyone who went to look at the glide crack closely.

Speaking of glide cracks...we watched a skier take 1/2 a turn off of the top of Table Mtn (Baker) only to lose his edges and slide 50+ feet into a 6-10 ft glide crack. We were fairly certain he'd need to be evacuated but his head popped up and after 30 mins of getting his shat together (and cleaning his pants?) he made it down without assistance. Would've loved to hear his stories at work the next day...were they truthful?
