Don't get a husky! was created by Scotsman
Two weeks ago I took delivery of a new 8 week old husky puppy whom I have called Chugach and intend to train as my ski-dog ( where it's legal and appropriate to take him of course).
The following is a cautionary tale for all thinking of getting a husky. I have always had dogs but was warned that huskies are " too intelligent for their own good" and stubborn. I dismissed this, due to my extensive experience with dogs.

Anyway, last week I was away for a few days and left him in cotrol of my wife and 13 year old son. My wife being a sensitive soul decided to buy some "new age "puppy training book and follow it's recommendations.
On the evening I came back , as I was greeting my family the husky was running wild circles around the living room. He then statred to pee on the floor so I picked him up, opened the front door and let him outside, leaving the front door open. As I was taking to my wife , he came back inside the front door, barked at us and peed on the floor infront of us. I rushed to get him and he ran back outside. I joked with my wife that the potty training was going really well but it was supposed to be the otherway around with him going outside to pee when he runs back in again this time with a dried up doggy poop in his mouth. He runs around the room again with me chasing him, drops the poop and then leaps onto my son who is lying on the floor and starts to "hump" his leg. He then barks again and rushes outside.
My wife is frantically looking at her new age puppy book and I am speechless at how out of control this dog has become in two days.
I tell my wife to throw the book away and that from now on we are going to go medievil on him.
He gets crated, leash on and retraining begins. He is improving but it was hilarious I though I would share. ???

Sounds like a pretty happy puppy :D
If you can't get him under control you may need to borrow some of my pit-bull training techniques :)

Oooh man, too late. I have eight of them.

Wow, 8 wks. Just weaned. Imagine six of them running around the house at 8 weeks old. It gets better, but not for two to four years!

Congratulations!

Thanks for the laugh.

I never experienced any antics related to excrement with my red-nosed pit, but they have lots of special issues of their own...
