Snoqualmie Opening?

It has been DUMPING up there today/tonight. They were open with less snow than they have now ... of course, that was in January.

I went up to Gunmount today around 2pm. The groomer was out tidying up Debbie's Gold and working a trail between the top of the quad and chair 2. The top of the quad is groomed out nicely and seems ready to go. Groomer was still at it when I left at 5pm. I would think they are going to open. <br>Skiing the mellow slopes from Gunmount proved difficult due to the thick snow. You need to be on steeper terrain to make turns in that stuff. Eisfallen proved to be worthy of an extra lap due to its angle.

I hear rumor that Alpental might be opening Saturday. West will open for sure, and possibly Central. Another 16" fell yesterday and their base is well over 30" now.

OH, White Pass opens Saturday!

There's more snow at Alpental than they've had all year - patrol was trying to start Chair 2 yesterday, and Trevor from the Summit was up skinning around assessing snow depth . . . keep your fingers crossed.
