December 9 Ski Acres Opening (new vid)

Well it was a pretty fun day with cold temps and cold snow. Windy which had affected the snow a bit but nothing to be concerned about. Interesting in that the top 30 yards of Parachute was completely blown down to ice. That's cool, we never see that.

But my day ended up bad. I started to have fun, if not overly aggressive skiing through the sticks. And it cost me. Cause I caught something my last run and tore my hamstring.

Here is the vid, and my apologies in advance for the cussing, but it really hurt.

Will miss all my brothers and sisters at the Alpy opening due to the dumb move.

Thanks of the vid comment too. These day of edits have to be fast which is makes it hard. But I always like to get the beta out there so folks can see what it looks like and make it somewhat entertaining as well. 

Oh and BTW, yes I made it out and probably should have added that at the end. I got up and made the next traverse to the CAT track. It hurt, but once on the track I could easily manipulate my body and ski on one ski to the car. Most painful was taking of the boots since the hammy was toast.

A new edit with the ski back to the car added as well pics of the aftermath. UGLY. But really thankful that I did not fully tear the muscle or have an evulsion fracture.

"UGLY" but it sounds like you need a few groomers for the holidays. 

Your video reminds me of when I did a similar run a few years ago at the start of a powder day.
