Looks like Mission will open Chair 1 and 2 for Fri-Sun. Webcams look encouraging, plenty of white stuff. Can somebody comment (knowledgeably) about what to expect from the current snow level?

Never been there so any non-Trollish comments will help! Got my fingers crossed!

2200 ft WROD. Maybe a few other runs in the Upper Basin funneling into the WROD. There really isn't enough snow yet for skiing off piste but the snow surface on the man made and natural snow has been quite nice so far. If you're using your Summit pass and it's free it's probably worth it.

This could change depending on snow tonight through Saturday night. It doesn't take much to get some runs open because of the lack of brush but other runs take a while because it's so rocky.

Don't be fooled by the webcams, look at the background in the "midway" webcam.

Be aware that Snoqualmie pass holders are not able to use their Mission pass until Snoqualmie opens. I don't think this rule was in effect last year? Ticket cost me $35 when I expected to be able to ski on new pass... It was worth it - nothing like driving rain and 50mph gusts to make you appreciate early season man made snow. It did ski well...but with just one run open, it quickly lost it's appeal.

The surface was nice yesterday, but yeah the weather was not very nice. I'm glad I only live 20 minutes away, two runs for me and I was soaked and headed home.

Sunday the 7th was about what you'd expect. Mostly a man made base, but the top softened up in places, skied really well along the upper rope line.

Only one run open....not much coverage where they haven't blown snow.
