April 20, 2014, Alpy

No lines, freshies early, sticky later. One of the sunniest "mostly-cloudy days" I've had. Upper traverse was quite nice at ~11. Our group bailed at ~2:30 due to incipient mank.

Snowpack seemed to be considering going isothermal. Lower on the mountain, pole penetration went almost to the handle on ungroomed slopes. Heard/saw stuff coming down from Bryant/Chair at ~noon.

today was absolutely marvelous as long as one wasn't a rookie snosk8er, good luck to that fella.
the smooth snow rode great early then it was on to the steeps of unicorn to play with sluff. the children managed to not get bowled over everyone accounted for.

Another good one today.

Alpy in April continues to deliver.  By my count, this is the third Sunday in April of fun conditions and no lines.

Weather could continue for next weekend....we'll see.

I, for one, wouldn't say no to another Sat. night dump. Today was swell - I think there were a dozen or so folks lined-up for the padded seats when they opened ~9:15. Full on code blue until the early afternoon when some high clouds blew through. Upper gate cracked ~11 and it was good to the last drop. Was nice to manage more sluff than crowd for a change
