March 1, 2013 Squaw Valley, CA was created by Zap
It was another spring day. Temperatures reached in the mid 50’s, no wind and a sun cream day. I parked at Far East Express and walked 5 feet to get on the snow. I skied from 9am to 1pm and my body was tired. I followed the sun and it was corn. I skied most of the express lifts and found there was always a steep line that was groomed but a few had not got soft yet. The area has a gigantic variety of terrain. There are so many great skiers and snowboards. There are numerous big ski slope areas and snowboard parks. When I returned to the base, it was a big crowd coming for the weekend. There are so many outside bar it is amazing. There were bus loads in the parking lots. It would we crazy most weekends. Started March my weekend pass is now available 7 days, I’ll pass.

^^^ the junior comp venue(s) are not in good shape. cross your fingers they get a re-set, otherwise have your lad think about bringing a an extra pair of skis with sidecut, edges and a flat-ish tail.

Glad you're on the road Zap!
oft, I get the sidecut and edges -- what's the advantage to the flattish tail in that terrain? Just more edge hold?

more beef to pull himself upright if he lands an air in the back seat. I think tail rocker on a sketchy landing that doesn't have a great transition can slip right out from under ya.
