What more needs to be said than there were 22 inches of new snow waiting to be slayed at the bottom of the mountain? Slow start for Chair 2 provided enough time to get some good laps in down low - I don't think I've ever seen Debbie's untracked like it was this morning when we got to it. Powder hounds were on their way to the top starting around 10 and after the initial wait for that first ride to the top, lines were manageable as we stayed out of phase of the folks railing top -> bottom.

Got some great lines down the Fan and Rollen + Gunmount. Skipped-out on Upper Nash entirely, opting for Shot Six to get back down for lunch and on our way back to town to put some time in at the desk.

Worst part of the drive was on the way out, lots of folks slipping and sliding down Alpental Rd. - even a few fender benders involving those coming up w/o chains (by noon I-90 was just "traction tires advised", but solid tires + all/4-wheel were necessary to get to the lifts).

Just adding my $0.02 for those planning for Friday or nearby touring: today skied more like ~10" new, with plenty of wind affect. It was also a bit warmer than I expected. Not concrete by any means, but not the blower of recent days. Coverage is very solid. Elevator opened around 1, if memory serves. Fun day.

I was there too -- Nash entry had rocks showing by the time I got there (~10:30) Nash ropeline and Felsen still had a fair amount of untracked first run down.   Experienced some sluffing traversing the lower portion of shot six from top of Armstrong.   Upside down snowpack.

Late to this thread but upside snowpack is the perfect description. I was actually a little disappointed with yesterday as compared to Tuesday. But oh well, still some nice skiing and who can complain about too much snow........LOL.

Hey -- I just noticed that my Voile "T-Wood" shovel handle managed to fall out of my pack somewhere during the day -- probably lost until spring -- but if you happened to find it -- I'll buy you a beer!
