What a beautiful day, soft snow (except on true north slopes), light winds, and party spirited sliders!  Southback closed a bit early due to slides on SE aspects that had cooked for nine hours or so. A tacky tiki bar was open on the King from 1-3pm for beverage sharing. For those choosing not to hike, there were bikini and board shorts races under the Gold Hills chair from 2-3pm. Mob scene of happy snow enthusiasts on the patio.

Many TAYers attended, hope Crystalfest has similar weather and fun factor. Let the liftless games begin!

Thank goodness Scotty's rain wish did not come true, tho he did get his nonstick slush.

I like my groomers slushy and I hope it rains this closing weekend at Crystal. Rainy slush= not so sticky. Here's hoping for rain!

Excellent day. Saw lots of old friends.

13 y.o. son and friend got a dose of why mom and dad love spring skiing. All were in agreement at the end of the day--"Too bad that the lifts have to close!" A good sign for next year, and many more to come.

Yes thank goodness! At least the snow didn't get too sticky too soon.
Nice to intersect your skin track out in the SB Silas. We went back for a run down the SE trees after seeing you but too much avy debris for a great ski but a hike up the King always worth it.

The look of a disappointed loser. (My first ski race at age 57.)

Keith... I somehow missed you. I was there too and lost just as well. But happy to still have all my skin preserved! Great day, great fun. :D

Yes, it was quite dangerous out there as you will notice from the cuts and bruises on this participant.
