4/3 Crystal

I'd like to thank all the folks here & at snowboardseattle.com who posted reports on how Crystal was last Tue.  Didn't take much brain power to figure out that with similar conditons (a big dump and much of top closed due to wind the previous day) and the fact that Sat. is a weekend, if anything it'd be more crowded today.

Based on what I heard from people there today and Tue., it was more crowded today. But we got up early & I figured it would be smart to stay away from Hi Campell & Northway zoos, hang out on GV, and guess what, that turned out to be a good call. Plenty of untracked thru much of the morning. Especially if you did minimal hiking, like you're going to Exterminator but instead go back down to GV. Snorting Elk via Rinky-Dink and Right Angle also good.
I'm sure part of the reason the snow held up so well was the sheer qty. One run down High Campbell mid afternoon, still plenty of goods. But then C6 had mechanical issues which kept the crowds down.

So thanks for those posts on Tue. Set my expectations appropriately.

I just deleted my post which was a retort to Nw-Grrl's post and was sarcastic . I was retaliating for a remark somebody had made against me in another thread and I confused the names and thought Nw-grrl was the person. I was wrong and she graciously pointed this out to me in a PM with more class and tact than I deserved given the cirumstances.
I am very embarrassed and would like to publicly apologize to Nw-grrl.

Best day of the season as far as I'm concerned. 20 inches of right-way-up fluff, knee deep all the way down to the I-5 trail! Patrol outdid themselves by opening everything (including, amazingly, South Back) by noon. $30 lift tickets for Washington State season pass holders. Face shots in waist deep snow in Silver Basin at 4:00 pm capped off a killer day.

Sorry for being so silly but I remember when you publicly admonished me for making fun of the Stew Nazi in another thread and how much empathy and PC'ness you showed for him. I feel empathy for the less bright habituees of Chair 6 and Northway and the animals in the zoo.

Scotsman, I suggest you go back and look at the thread you refer to. I did not publicy admonish you. I publicly admonished the person (was her name tele girl or something like that?) who gave the PC jerk reaction.

It does help to get your facts straight.

I didn't bother to mention all my untracked lines but they included GV bowl and the face leading down from Iceberg ridge, Snort Elk, Exterminator, and Mem Forest.

things are slow around the house this morning -- any chance you two can get in a cage match about who had less fun yesterday?
