Jan 12 Sweet Crystal POW CORN was created by windaveski
Got back to the mtn today after a week off. Didn't expect much. WHAT A SURPRISE. The Front Side had ~1" of new wet snow over rain softened and rounded bumps. It skied like the smoothest most consistent corn you ever seen!! Bull was to soft/rotten for the monster 82's. Might have been OK on some big planks. GV was hard underneath so the new snow didn't stick. Only the front side set up just right.
Of course it's still raining here at the base.

You have to take what the mountain gives you. It makes you appreciate the powder days more.
Any day in the mountain, beats any day in the city behind a desk.
On the groomer days, practice those fundamental turns and technique. So, when it's time to go off piste, you can rip it up.
Some of the best bc skiiers came from a racing background. Which means pounding ice day after day.
Take your camera, relax , kick back, enjoy what the mountain gives you. Don't worry about how much snow has fallen, or what glory powder run you want , because it will all come to you eventually. But, you have to be patient.
