Crystal: This post not suitable for all... was created by Teleskichica
If you prefer to remain blissfully ignorant of the goods to be had at Crystal today, do not read on!
We arrived just before 8:30 to partially clearing skies, peek a boo sunshine and perfect temps to hold the 9 inches of new up top.
Wow!
Cascades Freak and I had a serendipitous encounter with Joedabaker our first run down Sunnyside just after 9. Joe was feeling gracious with his presence and stuck with us for a faceshot run down right angle at which point we picked up Scotty, whom I now dub Chariot Man, and headed over to Northway.
Joe was all about full exposure today for this virgin Northbacker on virgin boards and it was pure ecstasy! What a treat to experience Crystal's jewels lap after lap including a trip to O-meadows even before we'd seen Johnson...
I was wonderfully surprised by the quality of the day and equally impressed by those old guys touring me around. Ha
You certainly know how to keep a woman satisfied! Fantastic. And thank you.
Cheers to more!

PS: Whumpfing and settling in the Northway environs... in one instance Joe and Dave(?) reported stopping, pausing and dropping as the snow whumpfed under him.

Personally I think showing friends new areas and runs one of the most satisfying things about skiing.
So glad you and cascadefreak enjoyed them.
Its always a treat to follow Joe and Dave around the mountain on a powder day......, fun and humbling also.
Great skiing with the" munchkins".
Me want more powder

How come I didn't get to ski with the cool kids ? It was so very lonely doing laps on 6 all day, powder bowl left, drop the chutes on hamburger, hike the Throne, hike A basin, hike Sasquatch, exit DFF with fresh each lap. Guess I should have gone North of the border.

On another note we triggered a 2 foot deep slab fracture in Bear pits which almost took me for a ride.

I tried Mr. Turner, I tried. Short of busting down your door and dragging you outta bed...
But I think your lesson has been learned. See you next time.
