today at Crystal 4/5 was created by everestbill
Three laps in Green Valley, slid to the edges to find out the off piest, It was good. So I made the slide over to 6  and up the King, the hike was in full sun and I took my time, ran into a few old Friends along the way and sat for awhile on top, looked into BD and was doable today for an Old guy, but with nobody with eye's on, I slid around to Appliance shoot. Chalky with 4-5 of wind blown on top of great carving snow. the first 6 turns got my heart rate into target and a stop and look up BD made me wish I had just dropped in, it's not that steep. Hop turn and 5 more turns in soft fluff made the hike worth it all. A stop to look into MF or just lap  down to queens, Queens and up the CB Lodge for two beers in the Sun, they had always warned us of the "Flash Backs" as I sat in the Sun and sipped the R's, I could see my turns that only a big guy could make on Coombas.
Sorry no photo's , just "Flash Backs"

I forgot something in my last post.... I really wanted to congratulate all you power skiers.   As I looked up all the slopes today.... everything was all tracked out.  Powderbowl was a mogul field.   That takes a lot of dedication.  Good work!

Sometimes I feel sad when I don't have enough time or leg muscle to make a dent in tracking out the mountain.  I try... I try....  but this requires a team effort.   Seems like a lot of that had to happen Friday and Saturday.

Nice work.
I was out that way myself. Skied Hourglass off the King and the snow was just as you describe. Surprisingly good.
Next was a long traverse way out past 3 way for some creamy chopped up stuff that again skied very nice.
Cool wind keeping the snow alive on the shady side despite the sun.
Drink on the patio, then slushy moguls and Ferks 5 times to punish the legs.

I still want just one more powder day though , pretty pleeeassse!

EB - I think my group might have been up on the king while you were hanging out there. Remeber there being a chilled out large d00d on Coombas.

Scottie - nice turning with you. Your new sissy7s would have been fooking ideal though mate. and made our crew a round SSSS28. The next time the Mrs makes you a hat get her to put an......

rather than a plain old bobble on it
