Well Crystal has launched their new website and even invites comments.

I was surprised to find that the daily lift ticket has been raised to $60! Glad I have a pass.

Yes, prices have gone up at Crystal along with just about everything else. I too am glad to be a pass holder.

I checked into other major resort lift ticket prices out of curiosity. Many bury their lift prices into multi-day packages (Colorado), while others have yet to announce their prices. Here's a radomn sampling of what the average Jill/Joe off the street who shows up at a lift ticket booth this season will pay. Some resorts charge more for weekends/holidays. With a little planning, some deals are out there.

California: Alpine-$58/63; Heavenly-$72; Kirkwood-$69/72; Mammoth-$79; Squaw-$69

Canada: Whistler-$77

Colorado: Aspen-$87; Breckenridge-$85

Montana: Big Sky-$78

Oregon: Hood Meadows-$54/69

Washington: Baker-$43.17; Crystal-$60; Mission Ridge-$50; Snoqualmie $56.15; Stevens $61.99

My comment was not geared at crystal specifically. Rather it is more about the state of the economy, discretionary income, market forces...

I'm with you on the economy.  I got the biggest shock yet on how inflation is rising two days ago--shopping to oufit my new Outback with snow tires.  The tire tech explained that tire prices have risen 40% over the past year due to increased oil prices.  My last set of snow tires cost $400 and the same thing costs nearly $800 with tax thrown in.  I'm sticking with the original all-seasons!

Hopefully Crystal will open earlier and close later with their $2.00 price increase? ::)

For the price of 2 daily lift tickets at Crystal you can buy a new pair of skins.
